Location

The Lammertal valley is named after the Lammer River, and the local ski area is generally referred to as Lammertal Dachstein-West.

Lammertal Dachstein-West has a reputation for being one of the most family friendly resorts in Austria. If you are looking for extensive night life, bars and discos, this is not the resort for you!!

Local Facilities:

A medium sized supermarket and a bank (ATM - indoor) can be found in Annaberg - (5 minutes by car), there is also a "Lagerhaus" (a sort of small B & Q that also sells - you guessed it - Lager) and a small tourist information office under Kopfbergbahn lift station.

Larger supermarkets and banks can be found in Abtenau - (10 minutes by car)

More extensive shopping is in either Bischofshofen (including a Lidl) or Hallein, or of course Salzburg.

Note: nearly all local shops are closed on Sundays, including banks which tend to have their cashpoints inside. Some, but not all, cards will gain entrance (with PIN) to the bank outside normal hours.
